I grew up in a home and culture where Sunday was a “day of rest”. This meant no business or sports or shopping or working out on Sundays. For most my life I followed this rule with exact obedience in a very black and white manner. But for that reason, I always hated Sundays. I love being active and I love starting my days with exercise because it kicks off each day in such an accomplished, heart pumping, positive way! But Sundays were restful but really just made me feel sluggish and gross inside. About 7 years ago I decided to reset my mindset to this Sunday rule (and almost every other rule in my life;) and try some new approaches. Now, Mon-Fri I train HARD in the gym. Saturday is for me to change my fate. And now, Sunday is for Yoga, ACTIVE recovery, and dancing! It still keeps Sunday sacred and special, but now just way less sluggish. Moral of the story..?..Never accept rules blindly. Nothing is simply black and white. Everything is awesome :):):) @thebucketlistfamily
