The most difficult block for a Center to execute is a Back Block vs 3-tech.
Here are 3 cues that I’ve seen help build consistency in executing the back block
H-H-H:
HIPS- When you drive out of your stance, your initial angle of departure should see your near-foot aim at where the 3-tech’s near shoulder. This sets your hips on the proper angle that will allow you to “cover” the defender up, which cuts-off penetration.
HANDS- Your hands must violently engage in a manner that secures the defender, this may be backside hand working to near hip of defender and near hand working to chest. If defender plays in to you, hands will work to inside fit, just like this particular rep.
HIPS- Hips must re-leverage and maintain position so that the defender can not stack, swim or work over the top of the block.
Side note, that deuce block got some displacement
