⁣Have you ever struggled with consistency?⠀ ⠀ Me too! I used to believe I couldn’t be consistent at anything except diving.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Most things I tried didn’t last more than a year, but diving didn’t go anywhere.⠀ ⠀ So if I can show up and dive almost everyday for 20 years, how can I say I have a consistency issue? ⠀ ⠀ I can’t!⠀ ⠀ It wasn’t a consistency issue, it was an identity issue!⠀ ⠀ I show up for diving because I am a diver. When diving is hard, boring, or tedious, I continue to put in the work because diving is wrapped up in my identity.⠀ ⠀ Can you relate? Do you tell yourself you struggle with consistency when in fact you show up daily for your job? ⠀ ⠀ Convincing ourselves we struggle with being consistent is a crippling belief. We didn’t give up all of our attempts because we can’t be consistent. We just didn’t identify with those attempts.⠀ ⠀ The great news is, how we identify ourselves is up to us. ⠀ ⠀ If you’re starting an online business and you’re struggling with consistency, think about how you’re identifying yourself. ⠀ ⠀ Do you believe you can be successful in this business? Do you believe in your capability to provide value to people?⠀ ⠀ When you are able to identify yourself as a successful business owner who provides amazing value to your customers, you won’t feel tempted to throw in the towel every time things get rocky. You will perservere because that’s what successful business owners do!⠀ ❤
