The HARDEST reservation in Hollywood... is it worth the hype? Read on for more and don’t forget to follow me for more things to do around LA, the best places to eat around LA, and more. I spent weeks trying to get a reservation for this restaurant. On Tuesdays at 9am, they release their reservations for the following week. I kept forgetting to check in time, so instead, I set up Resy notifications for cancellations and found myself with a table. They also told me they take walk ins at the bar. Though this place is new, its design with an old school Hollywood vibe. Martinis are definitely the thing here — they have a long list of them on the menu. If that your thing (it’s not mine), I would definitely try one here. Ambiance wise, it’s VERY loud, and tables are close together, so if you’re looking for something intimate and private this is probably not your place. But our service was amazing. Now for the food: like most good restaurants, I loved some of it, liked some of it, and disliked none of it. Though I do think the burger ultimately wasn’t to my taste (I’m not a hickory sauce gal), it was still good, and I know people will love it. My favorite elements were definitely the twice baked potato and the chocolate chip cookie, with the whole roasted branzino being a close second. I’d come back to try more of the appetizers and salads. All in all, I enjoyed this restaurant a lot and definitely think it’s worth the visit, but if you’re not able to snag a reservation, you’ll be fine to wait until the hype dies just a bit. This is The Benjamin, the hottest restaurant in Hollywood and one of the hardest reservations to get in LA. 📍 @thebenjaminhollywood #lafoodie #laeats
