MODEL POSITIONING - Do’s & Do Nots. . As I have become slightly obsessed with photography of late 😅, I have been talking to so many pro photographers asking them as many questions as I can about the pictures I have been taking. I ACTUALLY LIKE CRITICISM, it makes you better in my opinion. . And it’s funny some times what other people will notice, that you don’t. As things have been pointed out to me I have really started to a lot of things I think could be better . Here are some things I would say are my do & do nots . . ❌Do Not - this has become a big one for me... since a photographer told me this. Please do not have your clients put there hands behind there back like they have been arrested, or are in a 50 shades book. I know I used to do it but it makes the silhouette look weird. . ✅Do - instead of arresting them have them put their hands on their hip or back pocket, in their hair, maybe arm down and laid across the waist. Anything other then the 50 shades thing... unless that’s what ur going for. 😏😜. . ❌Do not take the shot from lower then your clients face if the face is in the photo ... ( I did this) a photographer told me I shouldn’t be able to look up her nose 😳. . ✅Do try and lift the camera / phone slightly above and if u can on ur phone put the # grid and make sure their eyes are above or slightly below the tip horizontal line. . ❌ DO NOT use one pose for everyone, not every pose works the same for each model. . ✅ DO save all your favorite poses and go through them all until you find the best one!
