Peaceful mornings before writing songs have been harder to come by the past couple of weeks. I’m cherishing the feeling of enjoying the little moments instead of rushing out the door, disheveled and functioning a million miles an hour even though I have gotten very good at living like that. But right now, a cup of coffee, sunshine medicine, and downloading my brain onto pages with my scrambled handwriting is exactly what I needed.
