Here are my favorite books of 2024! These are the books that I LOVED this year. As always, my ratings are just my gut feelings! I am just a girl! Standing in front of a lot of other girls! Telling them what books I loved! I inevitably left something great off this list and am already agonizing about it, but that seems to be my yearly tradition! Thank you for being here; BR&B is one of the greatest things that’s ever happened to me! YOU make this the sunniest corner of the internet! a little rundown of my favorites: - Historical fiction: 3 vastly different, wonderful books. The Women was probably my favorite book I read this year. More historical fiction in 2025! - Thrillers: I like scary but not too scary books, and all 3 of these were excellent edge-of-your-seat, keep-you-guessing thrillers. - Fantasy: I like what I like! If you’re like me and always looking for the next Rhysand, you’ll love these leading men. - Fiction: 3 insanely different, insanely good books. - Romance is my favorite genre! I didn’t have a single 5-star romance this year (excluding B.R.A.D.s & fantasy), which seems like a me problem, but these were all pretty close to perfect! All of these books gave me butterflies. I think I am the only person who was obsessed with Not In Love...sue me I was born to read and love Ali Hazelwood! - B.R.A.D.s... OMG, my New Year’s resolution is to read more B.R.A.D.s! Kyra Parsi is my favorite B.R.A.D. author of the year (Deal with Bossy Devil is my favorite B.R.A.D. of the year), and now is the time to read Fighting Words as it is (in my mind) set in Kate Winslet’s cottage in The Holiday! - Tiny books: One novella and one novelette that pack a big punch in a little package. - Poetry: I am a girl who reads poetry now! A Bit Much should be necessary new year reading! Life-affirming! Let’s all be a bit much in 2025! - Audiobooks: I started listening to audiobooks this year... and fell in love with hearing authors tell their stories! These 3 were excellent!
