Ooh boy. Where do I begin with this fucker? I’ll start here. There are many things we move past in life, but Michael and Maria’s dynamic has been hard for a lot of us to forget. They were destined, they were complicated but above all, they were the perfect fit. People like to make a lot of the fact that Brendan and I were exes in real life. And even though that was 23 years ago, the ex factor still gives people a tickle (or jolt.) And frankly, it’s reductive. But I get it. What people don’t understand is that in my actual real life this is one of my favorite people. Do I feel like I can’t express it as much as I want tho because to those out of the loop he’s “an ex” and that makes people go “ooooooh!”? Yes! But should that stop me after everything he’s done for us as a Dandom? Definitely not. Welcome to a Brendan appreciation post. This man works the hardest and does the most.
